Well to my surprise, it was far more beyond this, i have been fortunate enough to come across the abundance beauty Bastar has to offer, be it then pocket full of beauteous waterfalls, lush green forest, mystical rivers, its simplicity, world famous handicrafts, terracota items and many more. How to reach Chitrakoot Waterfalls?

Chitrakoot waterfalls is located in Jagdalpur in Bastar. You can reach Jagdalpur by train/bus either from Raipur or Vishakapatnam. I have reached Raipur by air thereafter a train from Raipur to Bhanupratapur had a day stay there and in order to come across the astonishment of forest, did take a taxi to Jagdalpur (in Bastar ) and enjoyed the forest view on my way.  If on vizag trip, you can plan for Bastar and reach here from Vishakapatnam too.

Chitrakoot Waterfalls

Chitrakoot falls also known as "Niagara falls of India" is located to the west of Jagalpur in Bastar district on Indravati River. This falls will surely indulge you in its magical tranquility adding a dreamy effect to which you cannot take your eyes off. The incredible and ecstatic element adding up being around this place, a place i have just read about and did never believe it could be more  mystic then to the notions i was carrying until my eyes got glued to this falls. The notion that did say me the pictures all over says a different story of the falls and it could not be more beautiful despite it spoke beyond it. I now carry some such pics which would land others and could muddle them up in same thoughts.

The way to this place is all way through the lush greenery and deep into forest, the view that adds up a soothing hypnotic effect to your eyes is a must to add in your list when in Bastar. There are around 100 steps to descent and the place is infested by lot of monkeys one need to be cautious of not carrying any eatery, as we did and i am the one meant to turn every place rouse in tragedies, we did get attack by monkeys. The limelight of this is surely the multi-tiered falls adding a dreamy effect, a magnificent view of water cascading down a series of rocky outcrop. It is known to be the best picnic spot in Jagdalpur and you can find many eatery items at the entrance and not forgetting to add that apart from all this it still is an unspoilt and a clean place.
