Places to visit near Dhanushkodi in Rameshwaram
Rameshwaram ("Rama's Lord") is one of the four pilgrimage places, Char Dham of India. This beautiful island has always been in spotlight for its unique mix of history, paralleled beauty, mystery, myth then be it on the Ramanathaswamy Temple,cyclone at Dhanushkodi town, Ramasetu/Adam's bridge, oldest and second largest bridge, marvel architectured temples, teerthams, sheer religious faith, abode of Shri APJ Abdul kalam and too many other things. I may fall out of words to put down why one should pay their visit to this holy shrine Rameshwaram, let me take you to the experience of places i have been to in Rameshwaram.

Gandhamandhan Parvatham, Rama theertham, Sita Theertham, Lakshman Kund and Panchamukhi Hanuman temple.

The highest point which offers you the view to entire city and carries yet another ancient tale which follows - Rama set his foot here and came along hanuman and other vanar senas to discuss on reaching lanka. The temple also known as Ramas foot has impressions of Ramas foot preserved.Panchamukhi Hanuman -
You can find floating stones placed in water inside a small tank in panchamukhi hanuman temple which according to priests are the part of RamaSetu.Lakshman Kund -
Lakshman theertham too holds a great ancient religious significance, believed that Lord lakshmana worshiped Lord Shiva by taking a dip in this theertham to vanish away his sins. It houses both Rama and Sita idols and marveling carved pillars. Rama and Sita theetham is situated near to lakshman teertham.Shri Krishna Pranami Mangal Mandir
It has two huge spectacular sculptures at entrance and houses idols of Radha Krishna in the midst of colorful lights inside the temple. It also includes a exhibition depicting the life of lord Vishnu and shiva. The huge sculpture at entrance beautifully portrays the interesting tale of Samudra Manthan and also the other sculpture portrays young krishna rasing in goverdhan giri hill.
