Pied Myna Bird

Pied Myna also known as Asian pied starling, a medium sized bird with around 76-90 grams in weight and 22 cm in length. This species of starling has a straight bill with tip yellowish and base in orange red. The bare skin around eye is reddish contrasting the white cheeks. They are in overall colored black and white, the upper-part, throat and chest in black whereas the rest in white. These are mainly found in small flocks on the plains and low foothills of Indian Subcontinent and southeast Asia, these reside in area where there is access to open water.

I did catch this on trip of Jeypore, reaching to a village which was totally unpremeditated. On trip to Jeypore, i had to land in a village which was filled with surprises and turned into a splendid trip though landing into tragedies. The moment i did reach Jeypore there was curfew declared there for few days with some reason and i did get lucky to capture these shots from the forest of Jeypore.
